This seems to be the best table stand for tablets. The arm is very well designed, the base is heavy and stable, and it has excellent non-slip feet. Even the ball joint on top has enough friction to hold a fairly heavy tablet in place while being highly adjustable. The only problem is the clip that holds the tablet. If you compare it to the same manufacturer's AddTek "Retail Kiosk" tablet stand, which is likely to be seen on this page, you will see that the clip has many places to grab it to hold it against the force of the spring can be pulled out. . And if you compare to a few other brands that start with L, also what i see on this page, you see clips with metal rods for a sliding part that allows you to grab the ends of the clip on the inside and another that has real red loops on the outside to provide a firm grip . It can only be held in place with a small, smooth plastic sponge. I'm very strong, I can increase my grip strength to 200lbs, but the awkward design of this clamp makes it a real pain to use. I can pop it on and off my 11-inch iPad Pro by placing the stand on the table in front of me so I have free access with both hands, but I try to, say, reach down and let go of the iPad . with one hand. Well, it's basically impossible with this design. I have another tablet holder, which is a clip on a standard music rest, and the spring is just as tight, but it's much, much easier to work with because I can stick my finger in the mechanism and pull slightly when it's open. If you're planning on using this with a phone or a small tablet like an iPad mini, I don't think you'll have a problem. If you plan to use it with a full-size tablet like the iPad Pro 11" and put the tablet on the stand and then never take it out, then this will work really, really well for you because the tablet definitely never will accidentally fall out!But if you want to use it with a full-size tablet occasionally, especially a tablet in a protective case, you will find it very inconvenient and difficult, and I don't recommend it for such a use case. This is really very disappointing. because in literally everything else this stance is perfect, it is head and shoulders superior to all its competitors. And it's particularly disappointing that the clip is so poorly designed, given that the same manufacturer sells other tablet holders that look much, much better. I hope the maker reads this (and dozens of other reviews complaining about the clip being awkward to use!) and does a simple redesign. since the same manufacturer sells other tablet holders that look much, much better.
