My wife and I love this product. It's a pleasure to use. We no longer have to make juice by hand! The block is very strong and well built, but that's why it's heavy and difficult to move. I love how he seems to get every last drop of fruit juice. Now we mainly use it for lemons and limes; and he handles both quite well. I think it would be dangerous for young children to use it out of curiosity or try to operate it as the handle can go down on its own if not fully extended (or even pushed a little from a vertical position ), and again, the device is quite heavy, almost 16 pounds. So you must keep it away from small children. Also, the handle is *very* strong so little hands can very well get hurt in the wrong place. Cleaning is a breeze. A damp cloth for the main unit, and then the bowl and cone (the parts that come in contact with the fruit) can be easily removed and placed in the dishwasher. I used to be afraid of projects that require 6 to 12 lemons or limes at a time - my hands often hurt, and a manual juicer was just "pain". But now those times are in the past. Now I can juice 20 lemons in a row, no problem! If you have counter or closet space to store this rather large device, we highly recommend it. Final note: We really like the orange color. It goes perfectly with the color concept of our kitchen.
