I wasn't expecting much from this wireless mouse and everything else, but it surprised me. The important thing here is that it's very similar to my old RAT8, same shape, same size, just unlike the RAT8 which comes with a weird silicone or gloss finish, the DWS comes with a nice matte plastic which is very comfortable touch - some say it looks like cheap plastic, but it's not. Really good feeling. And personally it looks very nice, I like the silver & black. The other difference is the side trigger, better placement, the button is bigger and a little flatter so you can reach your thumb to press it much more comfortably. Wireless options are good. Bluetooth and 2.4G connections are good. The 2.4G connection seems to be much smoother, but sometimes the Bluetooth connection drops after turning off and on again. So far I haven't experienced any significant lags or issues with 2.4G like it has in the past with older technologies, but it's not 100% perfect as I see crashes here and there. Nothing I would call a determining factor. I'm using a 144Hz gaming monitor and mouse movements are smoother than other wireless mice, but not as smooth as my wired RAT8. I'd say the smoothness of mouse movements on the DWS is around 85% of my wired RAT8, which means I'd notice a slight decrease in smoothness when gaming, but to be honest, unless you're looking directly at the mouse pointer when you move it to the left. and very fast, it's not very noticeable. The click feels good but is a little stiffer than the RAT8 (probably because it's new). The only thing I don't like is the behavior of the mouse when scrolling down. It's a lot harder to scroll down checkboxes than it is to scroll up, and sometimes some of those scrolls seem to be missing, causing web browsing to scroll. Pause for half a second and scroll again. I wonder if this mouse gets confused with this one issue - my RAT8 does too from time to time - but not as much. Overall I really like this mouse. It has superior style, great feel, and the wireless connection is smooth for wireless. It also works well with my KVM between my Mac, PC and Linux box: one mouse to control them all.
