Review on Long-Lasting ๐Ÿšฝ Plastic MAYFAIR 80SLOW Toilet by Mark Adams

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Too low profile feels cheap but feels solid and durable

After looking at a few toilet seats I settled on this one. The seat is pretty thin. At the end he feels a little weak. I've read other reviews that said "it's less stiff than a wooden seat" but I'd say it's more a matter of the amount of material in the seat. My least favorite thing about this seat is that it, when folded down is very "short" or "flat" and means you end up sitting very close to the bowl. I don't see this as a comfort or sanitization issue, but it was fun. I must say, however, that the zinc plated steel carriage bolts and matching seat fasteners appear to be very strong and I have little doubt that I will never have to retighten them as advertised. The seat itself has extra support under the wide part of the seat and I believe this will take the stress off the hinges. Closing the lid slowly works well, but very slowly. Finally it closes silently. All in all I would have liked to have bought a seat that was a little less wobbly, especially as it actually looks solid and will likely last a long time, and for now I'm sticking with it. I think the value is there, but the feeling of sitting is still weak.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • thin
