I originally bought them for basic gardening like pruning, pruning, not digging or planting. Since they're mesh, it turns out I tend to use them for getting mail, errands, and other similar stuff. I wanted a pair of slip ons that I can wear without socks and they are so comfortable I had to leave them. The part of the strap that goes over the heel fits well, but I don't actually use it. I put in a pair of insoles that breathe better to keep my feet airy in summer weather. In general very satisfied.
