Review on πŸ”© LiftMaster Screw Drive Coupler 25C20 - Chamberlain Craftsman Garage Door Opener by Steven Latham

Works but check motor/door placement

Worked on my Liftmaster. It looks like my original clutch broke because it was brittle and there was no bonding. I simply unscrewed the engine mounting bolts, tilted them, put on a new clutch and screwed everything into place. VERY IMPORTANT: Make sure the position of the motor matches the position of the gate. When you press the open button and the garage door does not move, the motor clutch side is in the up position and the gate track side is in the down position. That means if you put them together and hit the open button, the motor will try to lower the door that's already lowered and you can damage the new clutch. I manually rotated the garage clutch to see which way it moved the gate. He lowered it counterclockwise and raised it clockwise when facing the door. I then pressed the open button to see which way the end of the motor was turning and adjusted it. If your door is down, press the button until the motor side starts moving counter-clockwise and is facing the door, meaning the cycle ends in the down position. You'll understand what I'm talking about when you're up there.
