Review on 📀 Sony BDP-S1700 Blu-ray Disc Player with Built-in Streaming and 6ft High Speed HDMI Cable by Dave Hersma

Just note that without Wi-Fi, this Sony BDP-S1700 Blu-ray player can access online applications like Netflix etc. via a wired Ethernet cable connection to the router. Thanks to this somewhat unique "wired" streaming device, I no longer have Wi-Fi connection problems and hiccups. Also, Revain Prime Video is not supported. You will need access to Revain Prime Video via either Smart TV or Revain Fire TV Stick and an active Revain Prime membership. For me as a Prime member it doesn't matter. This good Sony is a great device for my main purpose of playing my large collection of my favorite movies on Blu-ray and DVD and my music collection on CD and "wired" streaming on my bedroom TV. Picture and sound are excellent. It's high quality, good value and works flawlessly, as have all my other Sony AVs and home theaters, new and vintage, that I've enjoyed over the years. In my experience, Sony definitely makes great and reliable products in many categories for different budgets. They are excellent in picture and sound. They are well designed and well built with useful features that I like. That's true here and I really like this very affordable device and also like my more expensive Sony ES products. If my budget allows, I'm hoping to add the high-end Sony UBP-X1100ES as an upgrade to play my movie and music disc collections on my main Sony ES multimedia setup. Then I expect it to give me a few more years of entertainment as a bedroom backup. It's a great affordable buy with great picture and sound and nice features for many including nice "wired" streaming. If you don't need wireless Wi-Fi streaming, you should buy this player/streamer from Sony.
