This portable player is fantastic and is exactly what you want in a portable player. I've had it for a few weeks now and it's very easy to carry and transport. The durability was remarkably good. Of course, the bass isn't as strong as a regular player on a sound system, but that's not to be expected. Any extra bass coming from the unit itself will result in unwanted spikes in the needle, especially if you want very high volume. But the great thing is that you can connect it to your computer or external speakers and that problem is solved! The looks and quality of the whole device are really impressive, especially for the price. Price is always an issue with these things because you're afraid you're saving money but sacrificing quality. This is not the case here. The quality is really impressive. The ease of use and plug and play functionality of this player is also great. I can easily take this to a friend's house with some vinyl to check out, which I've never been able to do before. Despite the resurgence of vinyl, I still have a lot of friends without a record player and I can't bring them my regular record player or always have them drive across town to my house. Overall I'm very happy with the portable player and having chosen white as the color of the player (there are probably 3 other colors to choose from) I'm also very happy with it. It looks smooth and clean. Oh, and not to forget, since you can plug this into your computer, you can take those dollar vinyls with old and obscure 70's Japanese funk and digitize them to have on your PC. Seriously, I plan on buying some imported vinyl records to digitize and put on my computer. :)
