My son enjoys playing chess but the cheap set we had before was non-magnetic and poorly made. Place. The board itself closes and opens smoothly, and all parts fit perfectly. The only problem I had was that the corners of the board were chipped off during shipping. Not the worst that could happen, but more padding in the shipping box would probably help. I don't mind this as it's for my own child but if I had to gift it to someone I wouldn't be happy with the damage.
