🧲 Transforming Magnetic Travel into a Multi-functional Storage Compartment Review

I bought this item because every year I send toys to an organization that donates these toys to Native American children at Christmas who are on one of the poorest reservations in the country live (this year it's Pine Ridge Preserve). Everything is packed very well and shipped on time. So I'll probably order another one next year.

Small and so travel friendly but I don't like the color. Silver and gold are not suitable for this material. This is not fancy or luxurious chess. It's plastic, and gold and silver don't look good on plastic. Black and white would be better. But I like that it has a magnet and if something happens it won't ruin your game.

This is a beautiful set of magnetic plastic pieces on a lightweight but durable board with a hollow back onto which all pieces fit with a locking clip. Magnet strength is 3 out of 10. Ten are industrial where they are difficult to remove. You don't have to worry about them moving around during the flight or even moving tables around the house. It is also a good introductory chess game.

The magnetic attraction is weak, but you can hold the board upside down and the pieces will still stick. The processing of the metal parts is very nice. Very attractive and well made. I bought this to play chess with my family while we curl up in the comforters on the couch and it's great for that. The only thing that would be better would be if it had a small mechanism that prevents the board from collapsing when you hold it on uneven ground. But other than that, it's amazing!

My son enjoys playing chess but the cheap set we had before was non-magnetic and poorly made. Place. The board itself closes and opens smoothly, and all parts fit perfectly. The only problem I had was that the corners of the board were chipped off during shipping. Not the worst that could happen, but more padding in the shipping box would probably help. I don't mind this as it's for my own child but if I had to gift it to someone I wouldn't be happy with the damage.

Bought this set for my daughter to carry in her backpack after school (she is almost 7 and is being tutored by one of her school friends). It's big enough to play with easily, yet light enough to not weigh you down in your school bag. Appropriate cardstock/grid markings are made along the edge for reference (A1, C4 etc) and the details look attractive. I bought this for my daughter to take to school as she has found a new passion for playing chess. I'm sure many other parents know that losing parts of a game seems inevitable when around children and this board proved to be the solution to that problem. It's great that it carries all the pieces inside so it's easy to take with you and the pieces won't fall off or get lost because they're magnetic. I really liked this chess game! The best features are magnets and foldable travel design. I bought it for my colleague and I to learn how to play chess and it will replace our youth game Jenga.
