Just what I needed to fill in the 3/4 inch gap in the lower left corner of this used door. My wife bought a door from an antiques dealer and installed it in a shed that we converted into her artist's studio. The door was badly deformed and poorly assembled. I had to rearrange the door frame and lock, put new weatherstrips on the bottom of the door, caulk the windows and seal the paint with polyurethane, but water still got in when it rained. I've added weather strips on the sides and top as well as this aluminum drip cap. Because of the large gap, I had to put a 1 x 2 inch cedar board behind the drip to get it far enough from the inside edge of the sill for the water running off the drip to drip onto the sill and away. from the bottom edge of the door. Now we have a dry floor in the studio after the rain!
