Very well made, high quality and works.

Exceptionally well made, high quality and works. I had to cut it for my 30 inch doors but it was easy enough with my dremel tool. A regular hacksaw will do too. I pre-drilled the pilot holes with a cordless drill and used silicon sealant before inserting the screws. and a pad at the top where the piece meets the door to keep rain off. I then tested by spraying the door directly with a hose for 10 minutes. Water didn't flow through. I'm a lucky tourist!

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Very expensive

A simple product that does what it's supposed to.

I used this to prevent rainwater from entering from a crack under my door as my seal was leaking when a strong wind blew heavy rain on the door. The dripper works like an umbrella, catching water and directing it where you don't want it. In this case, it diverts the water about an inch from the bottom edge of the door, which is enough for a small droplet or any droplet on the floor to change course and get inside. As others have said putty between the door and the drip cap would be a good idea.

Door bottom to fit fasteners

At first I was disappointed with the finish on the bottom of the door: it looked uneven, some areas seemed darker than others. I had to assemble right away so I used it as is. Assembly was a lot slower than expected as you have to account for the hidden bracket that runs behind the floor. If you install the door so that the bottom of the door is too close to the floor, the strut will pull on the sill when opening. I had to use some spacers to lift and avoid this. But - the end result is very…

Fixed door leak!

I have double French doors to my patio and every time it rains water seeps out from under a door. Changed the sill gasket - to no avail. It was the solution. It keeps water off the windowsill, preventing water from running down the door, under the door, and seeping through the windowsill into the house. Just ordered another one for another slightly leaky door I noticed in a past storm. It's easy to install. Measure, cut to length, drill holes and screw. The holes have some adjustment which…

Pros
  • Keep rainwater out of your door

Works well good for hardware

Just what I needed to fill in the 3/4 inch gap in the lower left corner of this used door. My wife bought a door from an antiques dealer and installed it in a shed that we converted into her artist's studio. The door was badly deformed and poorly assembled. I had to rearrange the door frame and lock, put new weatherstrips on the bottom of the door, caulk the windows and seal the paint with polyurethane, but water still got in when it rained. I've added weather strips on the sides and top as…
