Review on Plantronics Voyager 5200 Bluetooth Headset by Brian Piecuch

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Very poor sound quality and Bluetooth disconnects

This is my fifth Plantronics headset (and second 5200). Comfort, ambient noise cancellation, and battery life are pretty good. The bad news is that this device, which I've been using since the end of September 2020, has been very disappointing: it often drops the Bluetooth connection during a call for no reason; it almost always transitions to electronic stuttering/noise when answering an outgoing call via voicemail (this is not a problem with the phone when I disconnect the 5200); and it makes a loud, annoying hum even when it's off when it's charged. It is unusable in its current state. And all of this in a very quiet stationary environment with very little other electronic equipment. The last 5200 worked fine in the same place. This one returns. Hopefully the replacement will perform as well as previous Plantronics headsets.
