Has some pros: 1) Great zoom 2) An very high resolution 3) Stabilization of the image of the highest possible quality 4) Video recording 5) Pictures of a high quality taken between ISO 80 and 100 6) Quick autofocus performance in adequate illumination 7) AA batteries 8) Capability to withstand the cold These are some downsides: 1) Considerable background noise at ISO 200 and above (especially in monochromatic areas, in cloudy weather the photo quality is often unacceptable) 2) Weak autofocus performance in low light conditions 3) Extremely slow burst speed 4) No RAW
