This works very well in my assembled KVM setup which has another device for switching the keyboard, mouse and other peripherals. The only complaint is that, as others have pointed out, it would be much cleaner and easier to place all the plugs on the back of the device (although the other switch I have for my USB peripherals has the same design flaw). I realize it's probably cheaper to make, but I'd pay ten bucks more for a better layout. You could probably deduct a star for that, but it works too well and there are too few cheap alternatives for it. I just hope that future versions of this switch will fix this issue.
