After reading many positive reviews I had high hopes for this digital timer. I took my time and read the instructions carefully. Initial setup is easy, but there are additional instructions that make it a lot more difficult. If you mess up a setting, you have to start all over again, which is very frustrating. I set the on and off times and then checked the setting. It turns on as programmed but does not turn off. I tried many times but it didn't work out. Read the reviews and other people had the same problem. I sent it back and bought a Century Heavy Duty mechanical timer. Much easier to use and program. The installation took less than 5 minutes and works perfectly. This is the one I recommend.
