The center piece of metal that opens the Schrader valve on these chucks is too long for all the tires I've tested it on. This means that once you start screwing in, air will be let in until you screw it in deep enough to get at the rubber washer. This also applies when unscrewing after inflation to the desired pressure. Even screwing/unscrewing as fast as I could I lost more than 5psi from the bike tire in the process. However, I had a few extra Schrader stem extensions and I removed one of the rubber washers to give the chuck a SECOND and now it works GREAT. When connected, it is sealed with a rubber washer before the valve opens, so there is no air leakage. When decoupling, the short air noise is caused by the pressure between the compressor and the rod, so the tire doesn't lose anything. I highly recommend this slight modification and recommend the manufacturer to make the center metal shorter and/or the rubber washer thicker to get the same result. In the photo you can see before / after the change. Since it comes with two and they're pretty easy to replace, I can keep a spare in case my mod doesn't work with a particular tire.
