I ordered this remote control to replace my old one because it fell in water. When it arrived a few weeks later, the old remote was dry and working again. I decided to swap them out anyway to see if the new remote worked. It worked perfectly for 3 days until it also fell into the water. I took out the batteries and left the lid open for a few days and tried again. Now it works great again. That tells me this remote control is as good as the original. I also compared range and features. Both remote controls work the same. The only difference I found was a slightly different color for the directional button. At the moment I can't tell which was the original.
