Was looking for a toothbrush holder with a drain but they were all plastic. Bought so we could reduce the amount of plastic in our home but still have something that doesn't collect nasty residue on the floor. Unfortunately, while this product looks good, it doesn't dry out fast enough to prevent this, and we still ended up with some disgusting build-up on the bottom of the tumbler (which is particularly annoying given that we use bamboo toothbrushes). Cleaning is also not possible. We even used a wooden soap dish underneath to keep it ventilated and dry and we wanted to give this product the best possible chance to work. Gave it two stars because it looks really nice and the mint is a nice color and maybe if you don't use it as a real toothbrush holder but put your toothbrush on a mug to dry it will work? But then it's really not much different than any old mug. Well at least I won't feel bad if I throw it away because it's not plastic!
