So this is a product for a "big" room. I placed it in a large room of about 3,000 square feet (upstairs and downstairs). That being said, it does an excellent job of filtering the immediate environment and raising humidity to the lower end of "ideal" levels in winter. My large room was about 27-29% before I bought this unit. Ideally it should be between 30% and 60% depending on the people living in your home. This device was able to increase humidity to almost 40%, which is 33% more in a huge open area it wasn't designed for. Place. Although in my region the humidity does not stay low for more than 3 months a year. The humidifier must be filled once a day at the maximum setting. I was really impressed by how quiet this unit is even at full speed. As for air filtration, it's difficult to judge. I didn't have much filtering in this area prior to purchasing the unit, however other reviews have rated it best in class. I monitor air quality (radon, volatile organic compounds, barometric pressure, humidity, temperature) with Airthings Airwave Plus devices. It has stayed in the "green zone" (this is the best air quality) since purchasing this unit. Full Disclaimer - I have 4 Molekule units (for small rooms), 1 Blueair (large rooms) and now this unit.
