I had high hopes for these tractor seats. That's exactly what I'm aiming for, and I remembered that the seat was a lot more comfortable than regular flat chairs. Comfort: In fact, however, I didn't find them comfortable, especially when you're trying to spread your legs at all. (This puts pressure on your hips and thighs, so just keep your legs straight out in front). Aesthetically I liked that the footrest was only one way and not the pyramidal design of some other saddle chairs; However, for comfort reasons, you really need that footrest to sit comfortably. So what's the point of flipping them? Construction: As some have noted about some of these stools, at least the one I opened up leans forward! Maybe it's more convenient to lean? If you try to rotate 360 degrees, it looks like you're sitting on the north pole of the school globe. My bar is regular bar height and while I love that these chairs are adjustable, you really have to wind them up to get them to the right height. The rod doesn't sit securely in the rack and of course wobbles, this is worse when you push it up. Assembly: They were pretty easy to assemble. You need to tighten some bolts, nuts and washers on the seat, base and footrest. It would be nice if they provided a decent sized wrench as my medium sized wrench was a bit bulky and could scratch the paintwork. will return them.
