For reference I have very long and thick hair that has been chemically damaged. To cover all of my hair I had to use about half a tube of this product, which is 2 ounces. A little"male" smells. I left it on my hair for 20 minutes. It was easy to distribute this product through my strands of hair. When rinsing, my hair strands felt strong, they weren't squeaky clean (a cleansing feel) and didn't feel slimy. My hair was a little messy. After my hair fully air dried it was very soft. Due to the high price and knowing that it will probably give my hair about 2 uses I would not buy it again. If I had shorter or thinner hair, I might benefit more from this 4 ounce product. But it works fine, 4 stars.
