For those who have a USB-C connection on their portable devices, there are times when Wi-Fi doesn't work on my tablet or phone, and times when I don't have the data don't want to use it on my portable device. So if I have Internet access at work, home or anywhere with a network cable, CAT5, RJ45 connector, I can use this cable. It works great and maintains the same speeds as the network without slowing down. The only downside is that it doesn't charge your mobile device while in use like a regular USB cable in tethering mode would. Overall I like this product and it's well made so I would recommend it to anyone who wants to save money on data transfer and has network access.
