My first attempt without a heat gun failed, I couldn't get it to flip and stick to the parts I wanted. (I had a hair dryer, but it was about to break after I removed the backing from the vinyl.) After I bought the heat gun, everything went smoothly. I've burned my fingers a few times trying to get to the inside of the shifter and console, but hey beauty, that hurts. It takes practice to get it right, if you look at the shifter the inside edge is rough but I'm the only one looking at it so I'm fine. Just warning that it won't stick to some parts of the interior, I've tried it on a few other spots and it didn't stick. I cleaned surfaces and nada tostada. Will definitely be buying more and seeing what else I can wear. Didn't try to put it in direct sunlight, I live in Colorado and the sun gets awful here. In my opinion, it is not suitable for external pasting with vinyl.
