Review on Heat-Resistant Electric Solenoid - Engineered for Optimal Performance by Nick Cleary

Bought with an optional 38 gallon DeeZee diesel tank and plumbing kit. This item was "recommended" to buy from him. The valve is working properly and as intended. I just couldn't read the '0.5 GPM' spec. With a 3/8 inch pipe fitting, a 4 mm fitting and about 3 feet of 5/16 fuel hose, the gravity test flow was about 1 gallon/5 minutes. with the fuel consumption of my 2003 F250 6.0 Diesel towing a 10,000 lb trailer. As a result, the valve was "on" for about 6 hours to ensure I didn't run out of fuel on a recent trip. Also, the valve got so hot that when it stopped it smelled like "something hot/burning" and definitely couldn't be touched. So before returning I removed that valve and just used the manual valve that came with the DeeZee installation kit. This worked better than the small bore valve. If you need one of these valves I would recommend the 1/2" 12V DC 6 GPM model.
