My son bought this to replace a seasonal G 650 series he was building his PC with which died after 4 months. But in his case (Phantek's Eclipse Steel Mid Tower) it didn't fit at all. The motherboard cable had a thick piece of glue holding the coil in place, making it too thick to fit through the intended holes. Even when we tried cutting up the case to make room, this cable was too short - 5 inches shorter than the dead PSU and 450 it (temporarily) salvaged from the old PC - 17 inches long. As if that wasn't enough, a few other cables came out too far from where they were supposed to go through. We ended up buying a different brand (recommended on case reviews) and buying a non-modular one so all the cables come out of the corner they should.
