Will not remain clear after a few weeks in a 10 gallon fresh water tank

Separator will remain clear, be careful. The first week was great. Then it faded after a few weeks. I removed it from the tank and tried cleaning it, didn't work. Dissatisfied that the material is cloudy and cannot be corrected. Judging by the reviews that he is white, he did not remove the white protective film from the partition.
