Everyone should have one. I bought it on a whim when I saw it in the sale of the day and have since bought two more as gifts at a higher price because it's such a useful little device. He lights everything - candles, grills, fireplaces, campfires and cherries on fire. Everyone who sees mine asks where I got them and they have been very popular with my grown children. I read some reviewers who said it makes a high pitched sound that annoys dogs. I didn't hear a sound, and when my two dogs did, they didn't care. My only minor complaint is that there is no battery indicator. Now I plug it in before church every Sunday morning and when I get home it's fully charged. It says 500 bulbs between charges but I've discharged mine twice since I got them and I know I haven't lit anything 1000 times so I guess it's more variable. I recommend quick charging it once a week so you're always ready - you never know when you might have to start a hard-to-find fire :-)
