I decided to try a 9 inch circular needle before buying the whole set of Red Shorties. I've never made socks before because I didn't want to use Magic Loop or DPN for socks. I've read a lot of reviews and watched tutorials on how to use 9" prospectus and the advice I've received has been solid. You need to take time to get used to these little needles and your arms to learn the necessary muscle memory. With my first sock my hands cramped and I felt uncomfortable. Although I'm typically a continental European knitter, I found that English style knitting worked best for me with this first sock. The first sock looks a bit strange. This first pair will end up being sleeping socks because I'll be too embarrassed to wear them in public 😂. Let's call it a learning curve. Now I'm working on the second sock and everything is going much smoother. I can knit both continental and English styles. My tension is much better and the second sock looks much better. I really enjoy knitting on a 9 inch circle. In the future I plan to invest in sets of red and blue shorts. I have other Chiaogoo needles, their needles and cords are my favorites. Chiaogoo is great!
