They look really cool and are good for riding. Decent pedal feel but the high top really cuts into the ankle area. At first it was almost unbearable and movement was restricted. Since I dressed and tied them looser, it's more bearable. It's not as noticeable in a full "fire" suit, but other than that, I think you're better off wearing low-heeled shoes. They're loose at the toes and loose at the top strap, but for some reason HERE at the ankle. it loosens up a bit when you wear it, but you can still feel it. They blistered my little finger, although they weren't too tight in the toe area. Also note: wear high socks with it. I'm not sure if that would be acceptable for an endurance race.
