Review on Bamboo Home Bread Slicer: 🍞 Achieve Perfectly Sliced Bread at Home by Gabe Smith

I was happy to purchase and use this bread slicer to replace the one I was using. Unfortunately I left disappointed and am now using my old one again. First, you can't thinly slice an entire loaf of bread without physically removing the first half of the loaf to position the other half to allow for more thin slices. This is because the slits get wider as you step over the bread. As others have pointed out in their reviews, you have to be really careful when slicing bread so your knife doesn't split the bamboo shanks. Advantages? Yes, it catches breadcrumbs very well, it's durable and well built. If you prefer thick slices of bread, then this product will probably make you happy. Based on my experience, I find it difficult to recommend it to others. As I said in my title "There must be a better choice" I'm still researching.
