We bought these for kid fun for our beach wedding. Complete success and for the price I am very impressed with the quality. Kites are surprisingly strong despite being very cheap, the string wears out a little if played with it too roughly (a toddler plays with it for example), but there are more strings in the string spool than you really need, so it is pretty easy to fix. when you give a kite to a kid like us. The marks will wash out. So if you plan on using the kite in an area with a decent amount of rain, I definitely recommend using different markings than those supplied with the kit. I assume washable markers are included as kids are geared towards young children. In the pictures, my husband used the dinosaur border marker and the red and gray markers that came with the kit to color in. Sharpy stayed in place, but the marks that had been made were washed away. I will definitely be buying this set again for my next trip to the beach!
