I literally have at least a dozen different labeling machines and use one almost every day. When I saw this product I had to own it. I was hoping to print some high resolution color labels. I was very disappointed with this model. I usually only use the Brother P-Touch Editor for Windows. The software for this model is not up to date. I tried to print the logo with some transparency and the transparency only prints in white regardless of the background color of the label. I had to edit the logo in Photoshop, removing the transparency color and replacing it with black. It worked, but the label still didn't print properly. The printer printed the logo but didn't cut the label correctly. It cut several millimeters into the logo on both sides and cut off part of the logo. I had to re-edit the file to add extra space on each side of the image. I'm not a photoshop guru but I've been using it for many years. It took a lot of work and time to print the logo correctly. I could not change the logo image with P-Touch Editor even though I have used it with other Brother printers for many years. In order to print the logo properly, I had to modify the image using Photoshop. When I was finally able to print the logo correctly, the quality of the label was very poor. At first glance everything looked fine. The color image was a bit washed out, but within the expected range. I didn't expect it to be a high quality photo. The label itself was a deal breaker for me. The label is much thicker than I expected. It's probably not quite as thick as the patch you would put on your skin to cover a cut, but closer than the TZe tapes I usually use. The thickness isn't really what matters to me, it's the fact that every label I've made will fold around the edges when applied. You can forget to label anything that isn't perfectly flat. Good luck then too. For example, I put a colored label on my laptop's perfectly flat screen. The surface was cleaned before application and the label was applied very cleanly. The label is folded at the edges and looks ugly. I used different sizes of ribbon and the ribbons I used have some twisting. I taped the logo to the retractable patch cord I have and it was in my laptop bag the same day. Stick to once you use it on something.
