Review on Kraus KGTW2-33MBL Bellucci Metallic Black Granite Composite Sink - Includes Accessories, 33 Inch - Ideal for Drop-In Kitchen Installation by John Boyce

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The only composite sink without massive chips on the bottom

I haven't fitted this sink yet but I give it 5 stars for one reason only: quality control. an Elkay clam because it had massive chips on the back that looked like a chasm protruding halfway down the shell. How can I trust a sink that splits halfway? After that I figured it was just an Elkay thing so I bought a BLANCO sink. Arrived with the same problem - massive chips on the back of the sink - two large chasms in different places. I've always been a fan of Kraus products. My current sink is a stainless steel countertop sink modified by Kraus. Great product but I hate how dirty stainless steel gets. Constant cleaning or it's dirty. A Kraus composite sink arrived today, and while you can see they had the same problem with flaking, Kraus has something called QUALITY CONTROL. Once fabricated, someone went through and filled any gaps or flakes with epoxy on the underside and then sanded down to a smooth finish that matched the rest of the sink. This gives the impression that the sink will last a long time. It's incredibly durable compared to the other two. I should have bought this sink first. Instead of buying 2 others and returning them but for some reason I didn't see it was the 30 inch version until I bought the other sinks. I wanted the 30 inch version - maybe Amazon should separate the two offerings so people like them. I wouldn't have this problem. I think Kraus has earned a lifelong customer as long as quality is at the top of their list. I was very happy with their products.
