Like most hamster foods, this one has a filling, but there's something that others don't. So we buy this and two other brands of food and mix them in a bowl to give our Syrian Hamster a varied diet. It's good value for money, but it has a lot of what a typical poop has. If you buy this separately, chances are your hamster will be fine. All I know is that they need a wide variety of products.
