The perch the chicks sit on is too narrow.

I bought two of these a few weeks ago. My chickens have tried to fly on it several times, but the wooden pole is too narrow for the large clawed feet of adult chickens. I tried adding another piece of wood to make the perch wider (added with zip ties) but they are still NOT interested in the swing. waste of my money.
