This pack will be with me for a long time. They're absorbent enough to spill, but good enough to use in place of cloth napkins when you're clearing the table or just having fun over the holidays. They also have some benefits and will not crack or break with use. Looks elegant when folded but they are also larger than I expected, both 4 full folds and half folded. When unfolded, they are more than twice the size of a conventional paper towel. I've washed away spilled milk at the kid's table with just one and it's very absorbent for a quick cleanup. As for linen; I have a feeling I personally didn't think they looked like linen, but they do look much larger than an everyday doily. We used them for Thanksgiving dinner with family and guests. I still have enough to use for our Christmas dinner as well. The silver stripe is simple and goes well with my white porcelain service.
