Good thing, a question with plastic injection molding (first photo). Some features/features are somewhat omitted in the instructions. I bought this because the metal plate looked like it could be moved around and work like a spindle sander. I looked through the instructions and couldn't find anything on how to use the tip for the inside of the curve. I found a latch on the handle that unlocked the lock on the handle. The handle has 3 positions. In the vertical position (Fig. 3) the aluminum plate extends and holds its position. When I put the plate back I just pushed it, it seemed like something might break but I didn't see the release. I've already used it for what I needed it for and it would be helpful to know what it takes to make the record lift and hold. What I wasn't sure about was the regulator. The strap sits on top of the adjuster, but the adjuster is about half an inch smaller than the strap. I assume it's ok. Just thought it would be the same width as the belt or a little wider.
