Excellent value for money lens

M Zuiko 40-150mm f/4-5.6 say the most reputable online reviewers: a very light and small mid-length zoom lens that offers remarkable performance at an incredible price price. The lens is plastic, but handling feels like a thin construction with tight tolerances and no play. Both rings work quite smoothly, there is no zoom. Focusing with the EM5II is quiet, fast and safe, even indoors (with static subjects). I tested its optical performance on a very detailed object - one of my wife's jewelry creations - all open and closed in 1 and 2 stops at 40mm, 70mm and 150mm. I processed the raw files in PS CS6 and applied my signature white point, definition and sharpness to everything. The results are very revealing. In conclusion, I would like to say that this is a budget lens that certainly deserves attention due to its unique value for money. I'll add a few lines of comments once I get my lens out to photograph the birds in action. A warning about this and other telephoto lenses with negative reviews. The use of a 300mm lens already requires technical effort. Image stabilization only accounts for camera shake, but moving subjects require very fast shutter speeds to avoid blur. If the author doesn't indicate whether he's shooting in raw or jpeg format, his conclusions don't matter. Also, don't know if they know how to properly process raw files and/or what settings are needed to sharpen JPEGs in camera. After all, many people shoot on a tripod without turning off image stabilization (mandatory). Update 11/16/16: I'm replacing the old photos with new photos of Echo Bay in New Rochelle, NY just before and the last Supermoon. All images are from raw files processed in PS 6 with the same processing. Photo 1: 40 mm (equivalent to 80 mm), f/16, 1/320 s, ISO 800. Photo 2: 70 (140) mm, f/16, 1/32 s, ISO 800, tripod. Rice. 3: 62 (124)mm, f/16, 1/6s, ISO800, tripod.
