The detector always "sees” people and vehicles. He also spotted ground squirrels and quail. I aimed for a large rock (about the size of a VW Beetle) to avoid my neighbor walking across his lawn. On a sunny spring day, after the rock had warmed from the sun, a snow flurry began in the afternoon. The detector was really starting to see the movement of large snowflakes between it and the warm stone! The receiver is about 50 meters from the detector and three walls in between, but it still picks up the detector's signals. It's good. Since its detection sensitivity cannot be reduced, I am deducting two stars for small animal false alarms. It should only accommodate large mammals, humans and vehicles.
