Review on πŸ”ͺ Durable DEWALT DWA8953F T1 XP CER Fast Cut-Off Wheel for Efficient Cutting - 6" x 0.045" x 7/8 by Joe Comforti

Improved cutting in harder materials

These are good wheels. Too bad they didn't stock .040 or .035 but I can get them in regular aluminum alloy from Falcon if needed. The ceramic blend in these XP circles actually works better and runs a little cooler when cutting stainless or hardened tool steels, as long as you get your job right too. With common steels and materials, you won't find better performance or durability compared to good regular wheels. I'm not a fan of DeWalt accessories and tools in general anymore as they've come down sharply in price and moved to China for much of their offering, but these German made wheels are excellent and I like them a bit more. than Freud/Diablo, Norton (also excellent) and Pearl, which are the ones I use the most. Makita also has great wheels if you can find them. If you ever find or try one of the .035 Falcon wheels they will knock your socks off, but they are a little pricey and hard to find outside of big packs.

Pros
  • Cut-off wheels
Cons
  • There are new competitors
