Review on πŸ“‘ Ardest HC-SR501 Adjustable Infrared Motion Sensor for Arduino & Raspberry Pi Projects - 5 Pairs by Ardest by Junrey Jewel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They work well and are well designed for the task, with easily accessible sensitivity controls and a reset timer on the side. A warning

After not finding a spy camera that actually had a really working motion detector, I decided to build my own and use these devices. They work well and are well rated for the task given their sensitivity and reset timer controls on the side and easy access. (at least with the parts I've had) that only about 45-55 degrees of arc will actually do anything, so careful adjustment is critical, but once the adjustment is complete the part works great.

Pros
  • Nice little infrared sensor modules for general motion detection up to 15 feet away and almost never false alarms
Cons
  • Crumpled
