I am buying this to replace the same model I bought in April 2006 for $177 refurbished. An excellent workhorse. He eventually died after six tax seasons printing tax returns. Yes, he doesn't know how to convert. And it tends to have some paper jams. But it prints well and quickly. If it lasts as long as the previous one, I'll be thrilled. It works great with my professional tax software to print tax returns for my business. I have a separate inkjet printer that I can use for envelopes, color printing, and flat copy/scanning. I buy a 6700 page toner cartridge that will last forever. Drum was changed just a year ago. This way I can transfer the drum and toner cartridge from the old MFC 8220 to the new one. Very good value for money.
