If you want a bright or silver chain, this isn't it. This thread isn't light at all. A class 100 chain isn't supposed to be light, so I didn't think it was. As another reviewer mentioned, the chain is coated in a thin layer of oily lube. I photographed the chain just after washing it 3 times with Dawn dish soap to show the color when new and clean. The reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there is no mark or stamp anywhere on the chain to say it's a 100 class. So you either have to be aware of the chains or just trust the seller who is actually a 100 degree chain. Another reason is that the description suggests that the chain is a bright shiny aluminum chain, which is not the case. From what I've learned, grade 100 chain contains more alloy than lower grade chains, but it's almost never light colored. If you google the pictures of the 100th grade chain you will see what I mean. Other than those two little things this is a great chain, very heavy at 5ft, weighs about 12.5lbs and is 5ft long.
