Let's see how they hold up over time when exposed to the elements. I installed them under my 4x4 to light up the area and for track fixes. I cut the rope into shorter lengths and placed a pair under the hood, front and rear bumpers, footpegs and fenders. They offer a good amount of light for the money and are easy to install with self-adhesive strips. Only use a good degreaser or alcohol to clean the case before applying the adhesive strips, otherwise they won't stick at all. Tip: I connected them to dual circuits. I first wired them to a switch on the dash for on-demand use. I also connected them to the factory door/step lighting circuit. Now when I use the key fob to unlock the car in a dark parking lot, the area under the car and everything around it is well lit, which is great for dark parking lot security.
