After reading all the reviews and trying to figure out what size to go I decided to go up a size as many people had suggested. So I ordered XL for my dog who has a 15-16" neck and 22-23" chest and should fit XL. Well, it was GIANT about her. I measured the neck opening and it was 17 inches! I don't know why they say it fits 15" and larger necks. I don't know if it would be nice if the large opening was even ok as she is a Houdini dog and easily slips out of this soft, loose harness (as there is no neck strap). I'm staying on my regular ban for now. Disappointed but well made. If you have a dog that's suited to this and isn't a Houdini, this will likely work for you. Anyway, good luck with sizing!
