Review on LG 38WQ88C W Inch Curved UltraWide Monitor: Immersive 3840X1600 Display with On Screen Control and Dynamic Action Sync by Rich Lund

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very good with some flaws

So it took me a couple of weeks to decide if I liked this monitor. I have a Late 2016 13" MacBook Pro. When I ordered the monitor I was looking for a replacement for my Thunderbolt monitor which gets very hot and has awkward connections to my MacBook. I had a vision of a single USB connection about this monitor using my MacBook in closed screen mode. Not quite. The monitor has no network connection so either a separate network adapter needs to be plugged in or a network connected USB-C hub used. After considering the cost of the monitor lowered this was an expense I didn't plan for.My fault is that I didn't pay attention to the specs. The monitor also doesn't have a webcam so I bought a webcam for the first time in years.MacBook won I can't control the speaker volume and you'll have to look for third-party software solutions is adequate but not fantastic in comparison to what is available. o Working without eye strain. In general, I'm a supporter of the ultrawide camp. But the monitor has some compromises.
