Bought 2 6 inch clamps. Despite being wrapped in plastic and bubble wrap, there were spots where the blue paint had chipped. I need to inspect these spots for rust. But the color doesn't affect how they work. They are quite square. They do their job. After testing one clamp, I applied about 200 pounds of force to try to move it and it held. As always with wood clips, it's good to put a 1/4" or 1/2" block on either side to distribute the force and absorb any clip print, which is why I prefer the larger clips. It also helps if there are any errors as to how square they are (but mine seem fine).
