Has original kitchen cabinet door hinges, house was built in 1985 so is 35 years old. The original hinges don't really "close" now and don't really hold the doors of the cabinets we use the most, but still close the mostly "unused" cabinets fairly decently (like above the fridge where we not get there). Went to Lowes to find a replacement, were in white and silver, the originals are bronze, no dice, sorry. This on Revain was the closest color we could find for this type of hinge (similar elsewhere at higher prices), the holes on the cabinet frame match the old hinges, the holes on the cabinet door of the originals are in the direction of the arrow towards you , while the holes of these new triangular arrangements face the closet door. It's okay everyone has a cordless drill, 3 small holes per loop, not their fault, no point deductions, maybe physics, maybe patent, maybe style, who knows. However, a point deduction is that the few original loops that are still in good condition still have a decent "latch" at the end. While these new ones have the last few inches of closure, they don't feel as solid and fast as the "good" originals. I had hoped for a little more momentum with these new ones in the spring. In terms of durability, hopefully these hinges will outlive us and I'll never know if they'll last 35 years before someone completely redoes the kitchen. Like the original, they have a plastic case that encloses the springs. This is the plastic that is currently so aged that it just fell apart in the original. In 30-35 years I'll try to remember to write about the durability of these replacement parts (along with updating all my other Revain reviews).
