This is my first flamethrower and for the price let me tell you I'm a big fan. It works very well. We only used it on one of the lower settings (see video). Melting large piles of snow wasn't very good, but we certainly didn't want it for that. If you plan to use this for snow, we'd recommend going on one of the higher settings and just run longer than we did. We plan to use it to clear weeds from our sidewalks and driveways. It will also come in handy for burning leaves. A few tips: We bought a 16oz propane tank for this, but it didn't fit. In fact, it fits into any standard liquid propane tank such as that used on a BBQ. Use the included wrench to tighten the connection between the propane tank and the hose. Keep a fire extinguisher handy in case something goes wrong. have a flamethrower in the garage. You can't beat the price!
